“Caught Off Guard”

            One cold clear day I spotted a couple of huge bull Elk bedded on a ridge in the mountains of northern Wyoming. They were bedded maybe half mile away or so it seemed. I looked at it and said no problem, I would hike up through the deep snow move in super slow and surprise them, and so off I go. After about 1-½ hours or so I came up on them. They definitely were not expecting me to come up on this side of the mountain. Let me tell you it was a lot more work than it looked like, to wade through the snow up that super steep slope. But it was definitely worth it when I managed to capture this fantastic shot of the two exceptional Bulls – “Caught Off Guard”
